Kate Clark: Sculpture : Human and Animal Mix
Kate Clark is an eclectic sculptor that combines animal skins with sculpted human faces. All of the human faces are extremely expressive, but their attachment to animal bodies is bizarre and could be too much strangeness for some viewers. Some people posit that Clark is speaking to the violence in people through her work. Clark's sculptures are definitely mythical. Her work will be shown at the Mobile Museum of Art from 04/30/10 until 07/11/10.

Art Confiscated by Nazis Now Online
In 1937 the Nazis confiscated 21,000 pieces of art that they declared debauched. Art historians connected to the Berlin's Free University have worked for eight years to compile a database that documents the outcome of that seizure.
The website is now online and explains the story of where each piece was robbed from and if they are still in existence, where the piece now resides, if the historians uncovered the present location. Some works were destroyed.
The Nazis removed artwork from public museums and private collections. Some of the artists represented are Marc Chagall, Wassily Kandinsky, Emil Nolde, and Max Beckmann.
