Claudia DeMonte began creating images that spoke volumes in the 1970's, which included pulp paper designs, clay figures, and paintings. She also works with bronze, fabric, and wood. Her works make a statement on how women are portrayed with sobriety and humor.
DeMonte is also a collector, lecturer, teacher, and curator. Her work and an assortment of hand painted dolls found in various countries will be on display from 04/30/10 to 07/11/10 at the Mobile Museum of Art.
