Pop Art: Derek Boshier

Derek Boshier studied art at the Royal College of Art, Guildford College of Art, and Yeovil School of Art. In 1961,  his work was exhibited in the Young Contemporaries show.  He was spotlighted in Pop Goes the Easel by Ken Russell. Boshier is a contemporary of Allen Jones, David Hockney, and R.B Kitaj.

Boshier is a photographer, sculptor print maker, and painter. He has ventured into film making and designing for theater. He designed album covers for David Bowie and The Clash. He tends to choose leading-edge topics for his works and utilizes satire to speak out about culture, war, politics, and everyday subjects.
