Knitting as Art

As my readers know, this blog explores any aspect of art that the writer has a hankering to look at, discuss, consider, and enjoy.

Recently, a friend from church again invited me to a meeting of ladies that crochet, knit and tat. I never before considered or had interest in these creative activities, but went to this meeting and learned a little about knitting. I haven't actually tried it yet, but I'm going to give it a whirl or a stitch or a tat. Soon.

One lady was working on an anchor and waves that I found interesting, and the tatting of  tiny lace by another lady was fascinating. You never know what may be of interest until you give it a chance.

The company was pleasant, and I'm going to try something new. What about you? Have you explored a new artistic avenue lately? Hey, it might be fun.
