Happy Peninsula Digital Painting at Fine Art America

Happy Peninsula is my latest digital painting at Fine Art America. It is inspired by the work of Matisse. It depicts a fun, peaceful scene on a beach. It is an imaginary place to go to and feel that childlike happiness we remember or wish we did.

Conceptual Art: Expressionism

Two  Roads: Which to Follow?-Colette Dumont, 2011-All Rights Reserved
Conceptual art is about putting the spotlight on how the art object is produced and getting an idea across as the definition goes. I like to create the work with some artistic fun and as usual for me, use color to express emotion.

But this work is about getting a concept across too.

So, this digital design is conceptual and expressionistic. Several original photographs have been modified and used in this digital painting, plus another digital painting has been incorporated into the creation. So, it is also a mixed media work.

As " The Bonnie Banks o' Loch Lomond" expresses there is a high road and a low road, but the painting's roads don't go to Ireland.
